2009 Stars and Stripes

This 2009 hat was the first time that I was aware that MLB was doing these alternate hats for the 4th of July.  After further research it appears that some teams in 2008 may have put out a hat that was similar with a blue background.  If anyone knows where I can get the 2008 hat in 7 5/8", please let me know

2013 Stars and Stripes

This was the 2013 on field Stars and Stripes hat.  At the time it came out I wasn't crazy about it, but it has kind of grown on me.

Stars and Stripes Week

Since 2008, MLB  has been putting out their stars and stripes hats that they wear on the 4th of July.  This is the 2014 hat.

Trucking Back from Milwaukee

I was born and raised a Brewers fan in Wisconsin, however, I have lived in Chicago for the last 14 years.  As a result, I have put some serious miles on my car driving back and forth from games at Miller Park.  This Nike Trucker Hat is in tribute to that windshield time.

Wednesday Morning Hat

No real title for this one, it is fitted with a mesh back and some cool racing stripes....the type of hat you out on when it's Wednesday morning.

R.I.P. Daryl Hamilton

I was very saddened to hear about Daryl Hamilton's death.  It sounded like he was murdered as part of a murder suicide, which seems so unnecessary.  By all accounts, he appeared to be a bright and cheerful guy.  He played with the crew front 88 till 95, and was a career 290 hitter with a great glove in the field.  Last year, he filled in on Brewers radio in Ucker's road absences and was inducted on the Brewers wall of fame.

The hat shown here is the true high crown, wool hat that the Brewers and he wore in the late 80's.

Southern League South First Half Champions

The Biloxi Shuckers (Brewers AA Affiliate) won the first half of the season championship in their division of the southern league by a convincing 9.5 games over The Mobile BayBears and 10 games over the Mississippi Braves.  This guarantees them a postseason berth in the southern league playoffs.  On the Brewers day off I would like to focus on a winning team within their organization.

Day at the Racetrack

Went to Arlington International Race course to bet on the ponies for a Father's Day celebration.  In the spirit of horse racing, wore this white hat.

Midwest League at Miller Park - Part 2

The Beloit Snappers, who were the Brewers single A affiliate from 1982 to 2004, hosted the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Miller Park yesterday.  Outside of the Rattlers, they are the only other major league affiliated minor league team in the state of Wisconsin.

Today the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers play the Beloit Snappers at Miller Park.  Brewers 2014 first round pick Kodi Medeiros is starting on the mound.  Best seats I have ever had for $10.

Pioneer League Opener

The Helena Brewers, the Brewers Rookie Level affiliate, open today @ 7:05 Pm mountain time hosting the Missoula Osprey.  I dig the Helena Brewers hat as the symbol is tied closely the the Brewers, but with its own local flair.  Hope we have a lot of good rookie seasons here!

Old Gold

Here's one from way back, old cloth hat with adjustable backstrap.  I've had this for well over 10 years.

Porch Deck Hat

Apparently I am short on post titles, but it still stands that I was up on our roof deck with this one.  Milwaukee symbol with Wisconsin back drop, cool hat for the deck.

Fishing Hat

This was a free give away at County Stadium from the mid 90s.  It probably sat around my parents for about 20 years and resurfaced for the Pittsburgh trip.

Warrior Dash Post Race Hat

Did a warrior dash with my wife, wow what an event.  Trashed the hat during the race, but had this slick, old school mesh snapback for post race festivities.

Night at Miller Park

Another game attended by the Ives brothers, another win, making us 3 - 0 this week.  Classic snapback sported here with white front, blue bill and yellow back.  Go Brewers!

Race Night

It's important to run a race with a good lid on.  Last night, my wife and I competed in the original 5k, a race on the lakefront.  I sported the Brevard County Manatees hat, the high A Brewers affiliate.  This diamond crown hat, the official batting practice hat, is sweat wicking and excellent for a little gaunt.  The race was great, it ended with complementary watermelon, Pringles and Pabst.  Fitting hat for my 69th post ;).
