With the Brewers off the last day of August, we're taking a day off of the majors and featuring the Beloit Snappers. This is their bp/warmup logo.

Street Fest
Headed out to a street fest and had to represent with a 90s Brewers hat. Great look and a little foreshadowing for a series of 90s Brewers hats that will come out over the next month.

Little Brewers Fan
It took me over 37 years of life to make this blog, but my son George made it in just under 3 weeks. We are getting him geared up for his first Brewers game next week!

Friday Night at the....
...well, not quite, didn't make it to the ballpark, but I do have tickets. Had I made it, I very well may have worn this fitted hat with a mesh back.

Lakeshore Chinooks
The Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League were founded in 2012 and won the league championship in 2014. They play at Kapco Park in Mequon WI on the Concordia Campus just off the shores of Lake Michigan. The team is owned in part by Robin Yount, Bob Ucker and Bucks GM John Hammond. On the day off for the Brewers I wanted to feature another Wisconsin and in this case Milwaukee area team.

Crew in Hyper Color
Out of all of the 'alternative' color symbols and hats I have, I kinda fancy this one. Plain blue hat with a hyper color Milwaukee logo and MLB tag. This was another on year end discount a few years back, but not so bad.
Hope the Crew can pull in a W tonight. No fun getting lit up by the Indians.

Walk in the Neighborhood
Nice hat for a summer stroll in the neighborhood. It is a flimsy mesh back snapback with the classic symbol and 1970 on the face signifying the inception of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Badger Baseball
From 1900 until 1991 the Badgers had a Division 1 Baseball. In that time, they boasted 1 College World Series title, 5 conference championships, and had 38 players drafted in the majors. Largely due to Title IX considerations, they dropped the program and are now one of only 4 schools a in major athletic conference (only in the big ten) not to have baseball.
We need to get baseball back to bucky.

Hat for the West Side
Took the family to the Garfield Conservatory on the west side of Chicago and I needed a hat with a little urban flare. This was as close as I could get. The white with baby blue has a certain fashion jenesaisquoi. This was purchased at Miller Park on late season discount

If Practice Made Perfect....
....this hat would be perfect at being worn. This is the first ever hat I bought with the current Brewers logo. Despite the sweat and beating it has endured over the last bakers dozen plus years, it is still a prized hat in my collection.

Jacksonville Suns
The Jacksonville Suns were a Brewers Milb Affiliate in 1970. The reason I have this hat is not because I am hard core enough to pick up a one-time affiliate's hat during the Brewers inaugural year, but rather because I love minor league hats and stadiums. Two days after our wedding in Savannah, we drove down to St. Augustine to relax for a few days. On the way we stopped in Jacksonville and I wanted to see the Suns stadium, as I especially love the stadiums of the Southern League. We knocked on the door of a closed stadium and an extremely friendly staff let us in showed us around, talked baseball, and I purchased this hat. What a great facility! Coincidentally, almost exactly 9 month from this wonderful day we welcomed a new addition to our family, our son George.
With the Brewers off 4 of the next 12 days, there will be a fair amount of minor league hats coming up.

Even Before That
The Braves were the Milwaukee Braves from 1953 to 1965. In that time, they had a lot of successful teams and two National League Pennants as well as a World Series victory in 1957. After they left Milwaukee in 1965 Milwaukee was without a team until the Brewers came in 1970.

Before the Brewers
In 1969 the American League was granted an expansion franchise the Seattle Pilots. This team played one year in Seattle before being purchased by Bud Selig and moved to Milwaukee to become the Milwaukee Brewers in 1970.

Opening Day 2013 Purchase
Picked this one up opening day 2013 at Miller Park. With the cream bill and National League patch on the side, it is one of my favorites with the current logo.

Northwoods League World Series and Season Recap
The Northwoods League concluded last night with the Kenosha Kingfish defeating St. Cloud in a 2 game sweep of the NWL World Series. The Mallards had a great run going to the playoffs and winning vs. Green Bay before eventually losing to the champion Kingfish 2-1.

Willy!!!
There are a series of 'player designed' hats on limited edition at the Miller Park gift shop. This on is Willy Peralta's which had the cool diamond crown material, all blue, with the old school logo. It also features his no. 38 on the underside of the bill. Peralta is on the mound tonight and normally this would be a Friday at the ballpark for me, however, with the birth of my son Monday I am sitting this one out. Let's hope Willy can get his 2014 MOJO back!!! Go crew.

Watching Baseball with the Boy
We had this little guy on Monday, and by Wednesday he was watching the Crew with me. Fortunately for him, he won't remember this season, but with a restocked farm system, hopefully his first memories will be of good Brewers teams like his father's memories in the early 80s.

El Gorra Negro
This black hat is a cool off color alternate. I like the little Milwaukee "M" in the corner of the bill.

Ucker Bobblehead Day
With Bob Ucker Bobblehead Day at Miller Park today, I am featuring the Ucker hat that can be found in the left field gift shop. This plaid is the plaid from the classic Ucker sport coat. It brought in good luck as we beat the cards today! Go Ucker!!!!

MLB
This Mlb hat was a gift from my Brewers Ticket Rep, because the Brewers front office is awesome. The picture is at Miller Park in front of the Hank Aaron Statue. Hank Aaron is awesome because he has the most home runs ever in MLB history without cheating!
