Lollapalooza Day q

Day 1, great sounds hat!

El Blanco

This all white hat is another of the circa 2006 stretch hatch.  It is a little late 90s frat guy-ish, but it is nice for a hot summer day like today is gonna be.

Thursday Night Matchup at Miller Park

So, I'm not at the game, but I am watching on T.V.  This is one the stretch hats from Miller Park purchased in early 2006.  I particularly like this one with the light yellow trim and powder blue wiser and back.  Also, I dig the MLB logo on the corner of the visor.  Due to my fondness of the hat, I have kept it in good condition by wearing sparingly and it does not look nearly as worn as the other 9+ year old hats.

Lollapalooza Double Header

It's always been a tradition for me to wear minor league hats to lollapalooza.  Especially featured is the Nashville Sounds hat due to the music theme of the logo.

With Lolla weekend starting up, I am going to be featuring a Brewers hat by day, and a minor league hat at the festival  (most likely the Sounds) at night.  Today, in order to establish the pattern, the order is flipped.

Light Blue Stretch Hat

This is another hat from Miller Park circa 2006.  With the light blue front and cool back, this made it to countless games at Miller Park and elsewhere.

Blue & Yellow

This blue hat with a yellow logo outline and stretch back was purchased at the ball park in 2006.  It is one of a series in this style that were popular from 2005 to 2007.

Yikes

After quite a few drinks at Miller Park, I had bought this one off the sale shelf at the end of a Brewers losing season.  At the moment I bought it I thought it was unique and a great hat.  The next day I thought differently.  This is only the second time I have worn it with the first bring an Easter Run.  I keep it, though, as a reminder bot to drink so much at the ballpark.

Mallards vs Chinooks

My wife and I made it to Kapco Field for the madison Mallards vs. Lakeshore Chinooks matchup.  The Mallards have always been my Northwoods League team since my time at school in Madison.  The Chinooks have Brewers ties as they are partially owned by Robin Yount.  I am a little torn but GO MALLARDS!!!

On a Boat!!!

This hat is great for sailing, tight snapback that can stay on in the 15 knot winds that we had yesterday.  Winds were great enough that I had to wait until we got back to the dock for the photo opportunity.

Modern Snapback

This is one of the few snapbacks I have with the current logo. With a white front, blue visor and cream back, this is a great modern brewers hat.

The Visor

Not sure if other hats of the Brewers sites include visors, but I figured I'd go ahead and include my.  Great for top of the head airconditioning and tanning.

Train to the Game

Being a Brewers fan in Chicago means a lot of Amtrak rides up to Miller Park.  I guess the hat I wear on the train could be a training hat (sorry, my wife hears enough of my dumb jokes so I needed to spread the love).

In case no one has noticed, the Crew had won 17 of their last 23 and 4 in a row.  They are sill crawling out of a deep hole but it has been fun to watch.

Harry Doyle Night at Miller Park

Tonight is Major League Night at Miller Park.  We are hosting the Indians. Ucker threw out the first pitch and we were lucky enough to get the talking Harry Doyle talking bobblehead.  What a great celebration of a true baseball classic!!!

Minor Monday DH - Wisconsin Timberrattlers

The Timberrattlers play at Fifth Third Field in Geneva IL tonight vs. the hosting Kane County Cougars.  Had it not been for a work deadline and road trip to Miller Park tomorrow, I would have made the 45 minute gaunt west to see this game.  It's a good day for the Brewers to be off after a weekend sweep of the Pirates who have the second best record in the majors.

Minor Monday Double Header - Rock'n'Roll Half Marathon

Participated in the rock'n'roll half yesterday.  Wore the old Nashville Sounds hat to keep with the rockin' theme.

Negro League Tribute Night

Last night at Miller Park it was Negro League Night.  Both the Brewers and the Pirates wore uniforms to bear honor and pay homage to Negro League teams from their respective cities in years long past.  The Brewers uniforms were to  pay homage to the 1923 Milwaukee Bears.  This is the hat that they wore on field for their 7 to 5 victory.  This has been a tradition for a few years.

Piping hot at Miller Park

A very hot night at Miller Park for the second half of this hats double header.  Crew is up 2 to 0 in the 5th.  Chose this hat with the pipes on the corners to cheer on a Brewers win!

Diablos Y Torros - Quiero Por Favor

The El Paso Diablos were a AA affiliate from 81 to 98 and the Tuscon Torros were a AAA affiliate in 97.  Both had awesome hats (pictured), and I don't own any of them. It doesn't help the the teams no longer exist.  If anyone can help me find either of these, please help!!!

Stay tuned for the evening portion double header back in the majors at Miller Park .
